We are now looking for a Head Chef to lead our kitchen and continue our legacy of excellence.

Location: Farmers Arms Hotel Daylesford
Salary: £85,000 - £95,000 per annum
Relocation Assistance: Available

The Role: As Head Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, manage and mentor a team of talented chefs, and ensure that every dish meets our high standards. You will be responsible for the development of our menu, ensuring a perfect balance of creativity, quality, and consistency. Your leadership will ensure the continued success of our business while pushing the boundaries of what we offer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a team of chefs, creating a positive and collaborative kitchen culture.
  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Create and innovate seasonal menus that reflect the venue's high standards and reputation.
  • Maintain high levels of food safety, cleanliness, and compliance with health regulations.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control to ensure efficient cost management.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff, supporting their professional growth and development.

About You:

  • A seasoned Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready for the next step.
  • A passion for high-quality, seasonal cuisine and a commitment to maintaining excellence.
  • Experience in leading a large, professional kitchen team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a track record of developing and motivating teams.
  • High standards of food safety and cleanliness.
  • Creative and forward-thinking with an ability to innovate while respecting tradition.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and creating outstanding dining experiences.
