Opening this spring, Batard is set to be one of 2024's most highly anticipated dining destinations. Spanning four levels, it will feature a two-story fine-dining restaurant, a rooftop bar, and more, blending the enchanting essence of Paris with a uniquely Melbourne flair.

About the Opportunity:
We're seeking top industry leaders—Restaurant Managers, Assistant Managers, and Supervisors—to join the opening team at Batard. Play a key role in creating memorable experiences for both our guests and team.

Main Role Responsibilities: 
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional guest service at all times
  • Provide on floor coaching and feedback to FOH Crew, Supervisors and Assistant Managers
  • Provide guidance and support to the team of Supervisors and Assistant Managers in the delivery of crew Training & Development programs
  • Assist with various operational & financial management tasks, in collaboration with senior management
  • Undertake People & Performance related tasks
Experience, Skills & Attributes:
  • Demonstrated restaurant management experience in a premium a-la-carte dining environment
  • Restaurant opening experience is advantageous
  • Exemplary leadership with a strong focus on the crew experience
  • Exceptional service skills and guest focused
  • Strong understanding of management and restaurant compliance practices
  • Highly adaptable and able to perform in high-pressured service periods
  • Proven ability in building effective relationships
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Experience using a Time & Attendance, and stock management system
  • Exceptional communication and presentation
  • Available and willing to work weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
