This position - Intentional. Integral. Precise. We make every component from scratch: savoiardi, espresso and even the mascarpone. The work is detailed and exact. You'll keep production running smoothly, support the management team, and help refine the systems that carry Pinto forward.
A role for someone who wants to help build, not just manage. Pinto is a small team making everything from scratch — mascarpone, savoiardi, espresso — with precision and care in an organised, calm and enjoyable working environment. Most days flow smoothly, some get messy, we make mistakes, learn from them, move on, and the focus stays the same: delivering a quality product with an exceptional customer experience for every sale
This is a hands-on position, supervising daily production and helping refine the systems that will carry Pinto beyond one kitchen. You’ll work alongside Finley, our Head of Production, keeping rhythm, standards, and people on track as we scale.
Pinto simply began from a love of tiramisu, and two brothers with a trike serving handmade tiramisu around Melbourne.
We have just opened our flagship space in Fitzroy, part café, part production kitchen, and we make everything from scratch.
The goal is simple: create an exceptional customer experience by making something delicious, creating an everlasting brand and building a team that takes pride in it.
You’ll lead and support a small (but growing) kitchen team, managing daily tiramisu production and prep while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and pace.
It’s a combination of structure and flexibility — guiding the day’s work, adjusting when things change, and always looking for ways to improve the production, whether it's scaling or refining.
Lead daily tiramisu production (cups, slabs, specials)
Coordinate prep lists, stock, and daily workflow
Train and support newer team members
Maintain product quality, presentation, and hygiene standards
Work with Finley on improving systems and efficiency
Keep the kitchen calm, tidy, and focused
We offer a young, growing business, and you will be joining us in our founding years. There is an opportunity for the right person to grow with us.
We have come a long way, but we have bigger plans, and you’ll help shape how we work and the growth of Pinto.
Our inner city workplace is spacious, beautiful, with natural light, and we are a team that values connection, humour, growth, and integrity.
2–4 years’ experience in pastry, bakery, or production kitchens
Organised, detail-driven, and steady under pressure
Confident in communicating and leading small teams
Takes pride in clean work and consistent results
Keen to grow with a brand built on craft, not shortcuts
