Location: 442 Nicholson St, Fitzroy North VIC 3068
Hours: Full-time, 38 hours per week
Experience Required: Minimum 3 years in a similar role
Qualifications Required: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Menu Innovation: Develop a dynamic menu that highlights fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients, aligning with the venue's concept and values.
2. Culinary Mastery: Craft and deliver dishes of a high calibre, ensuring consistency in flavour, presentation, and portioning.
3. Kitchen Management: Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, food procurement, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
4. Team Development: Guide junior kitchen staff to foster a supportive and cooperative working environment.
5. Quality Assurance: Uphold food safety, and hygiene regulation practices
6. Cost Efficiency: Monitor food costs and minimise waste, ensuring profitability while maintaining the quality and portion standards of all menu items.
7. Customer Service: Adjust and tailor dishes to meet the dietary preferences and requirements of guests.
Requirements:
1. Qualifications: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or a comparable qualification.
2. Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a Chef in a fast-paced, high-standard dining or cafe environment.
3. Skills: Strong command of cooking techniques, proven experience in menu planning, and exceptional kitchen management skills.
4. Attributes: A creative mindset, passion for hospitality, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
