Pure South Kitchen has been a stalwart on the Southbank Promenade since 2016. Our iconic location on the banks of the Yarra River overlooking Melbourne's skyline, combined with Tasmanian produce, make Pure South Kitchen a favourite amongst locals & tourists alike.
Founded in 2004, Pure South Dining has pioneered 'Farm to Plate Dining', sourcing our produce from King Island, Flinders Island & Tasmania. Pure South Kitchen, our casual waterfront dining venue, continues championing our philosophy of Ethical, Sustainable & Provenance.
The Role
We are seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to play a crucial role in our daily operations. Working collaboratively with our Restaurant Manager and leadership team, you will ensure the smooth running of the venue, helping maintain our high customer service standards, and lead & devlop our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Lead and inspire our team, conduct pre-shift briefings, manage training, rostering, and performance, and maintain a positive work environment.
- Operations: Oversee daily operations of the bar, restaurant, and events.
- Customer Service: Ensure exceptional service and resolve issues promptly with business acumen in mind.
- Financial Management: Handle nightly cash procedures and ensure financial accountability.
- Marketing: Contribute to promotional activities to drive revenue.
- Roster Management: Maintain a consistent roster with flexibility for peak seasons, including late nights and weekends.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and responsible service of alcohol guidelines.
About You:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Food & Beverage operations
- Previous experience in an upmarket, fast-paced venue is advantageous.
- Lead by example with strong presentation, communication and problem-solving skills.
- A focus on leadership, mentoring and growing our team to reach their full potential.
- Ability to collaborate with our Restaurant Manager and culinary team to share ideas and solve problems.
- A genuine love of food & the hospitality industry.
