We are looking for a full-time Assistant Baker & Legend All-Rounder to join our great team making delicious gluten and dairy free breads and products at our artisan bakery. Join a progressive business breaking expectations of what gluten free food can be.
We are looking for someone with at least 2 years hospo experience. Ideally baking experience, however, what we do is quite unique and requires training and guidence to learn our methods and use of ingredients, so there is an opportunity to move into a new area for an experienced hospo person. Social hours for a bakery, 6 30am - 2 30pm /or 8am - 4pm Monday through Friday. Join a supportive and collaborative working environment. Sense of humour and great taste in music a plus.
Key responsibilites include:
- Mixing doughs, shaping and bread-making
- Slicing and packing products
- Pastry making (including dough sheeter work)
- Making seasonal products (Easter, Christmas etc) and items for our weekly markets
- Precise weighing and preparation of ingredients
- Stock rotation and control
- Maintaining strict kitchen hygiene practices and measures for allergen control and cross contamination
