We’re a busy, local bakery known for our traditional french pastries, sourdough bread, and warm service. As our Assistant Manager, you’ll work closely with the owners/manager to keep things running smoothly both in the front and behind the scenes.
What you’ll be doing:Supporting daily operations: opening/closing, staff supervision, and maintaining a high standard of customer service
Leading the team during busy shifts and ensuring everyone is working efficiently and positively
Assist in managing stock levels, placing orders, and keeping waste low
Assist in training new staff and supporting team development
Ensuring the bakery is always clean, welcoming, and restocked
Stepping in where needed – whether that’s on the coffee machine, register, or packing pastries
Has experience in hospitality/customer service (1 year + in a supervisor or FOH Management position )
Is confident, calm under pressure, and naturally leads by example
Can take initiative and handle responsibility
Is organised, reliable, and always thinking two steps ahead
Has flexibility to work weekdays and weekends
