We’re on the hunt for a capable and calm Assistant Manager to join the leadership team at Young’s Wine Rooms – a vibrant neighbourhood restaurant and bar in the heart of Camberwell.
We’re known for our extensive wine list, excellent seasonal food, and polished yet relaxed service. As Assistant Manager, you’ll be a key part of the day-to-day running of the venue – someone who leads by example, builds trust with the team, and brings good vibes to the floor.
About the role:
– Support and collaborate with the Venue Manager to deliver smooth service daily
– Take the lead on floor operations and customer experience
– Drive sales through thoughtful service and strong wine knowledge
– Oversee reservations, staff training, and venue presentation
– Assist with rostering, stock control, and reporting where needed
– Be a key part of shaping the culture and consistency of the venue
What we’re looking for:
– Previous experience in a supervisory or management role
– Strong wine knowledge and a desire to keep learning
– A calm, confident leader who brings the team together
– Excellent communication, problem-solving and customer service skills
– Availability across evenings and weekends
